64-13h-101 - Definitions.

64-13h-101(1) “Department” means the Department of Corrections. 64-13h-101(2) “Fund” means the Rehabilitation and Reentry Services Special Revenue Fund created in Section 64-13h-102. 64-13h-101(3) “Offender” means the same as that term is defined in Section 64-13-1.

64-13h-102 - Creation of Rehabilitation and Reentry Services Special Revenue Fund.

64-13h-102(1) There is created a special revenue fund known as the Rehabilitation and Reentry Services Special Revenue Fund. 64-13h-102(2) The fund includes:private donations, grants, gifts, bequests, or money made available from any other source to implement this section and Section 64-13h-103; andany interest earned on the fund. 64-13h-102(3) The department shall administer the fund for the purposes described in Section 64-13h-103. 64-13h-102(4) Upon appropriation by the Legislature, the department shall use money in the fund as described in Section 64-13h-103.

64-13h-103 - Uses of Rehabilitation and Reentry Services Special Revenue Fund.

64-13h-103(1) Money in the fund shall be used to provide direct services to offenders that will increase the likelihood of successful reintegration into the general public and decrease the likelihood of recidivism, which may include:educational services;job skills training;life skills training;apprenticeships;job placement assistance;assistance with affordable housing or supervised or transitional housing services;substance use treatment, mental health services, or physical health services; orcase worker access, before or after leaving incarceration. 64-13h-103(2) The department may expend money from the fund to offset actual department expenses related to administering this section.
